Getting help
There are two ways to reach us, and either is fine:
- From inside the app. Settings → About → Send Feedback opens a short form. It sends only the text you type plus basic technical context such as the app version — never any health data. This is the fastest route for a bug, because the app version travels with the message.
- By email. me@sufiyanyasa.com, for anything at all, including privacy requests and questions about a purchase.
Common questions
My widget shows no data, or dashes instead of numbers
This almost always means Apple Health has nothing to give for that metric, rather than that something has failed. Check, in order: that Health access is granted in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → GlanceVitals; that the Health app itself shows recent samples for the metric; and that the metric has a source at all — resting heart rate and heart rate variability generally need an Apple Watch, and sleep needs a tracker or a manual entry. GlanceVitals never claims a value it cannot read, so an empty state is the honest answer to missing data.
My widget is not updating
iOS decides when a widget refreshes; apps can request an update but cannot force one. GlanceVitals stores the time each value was measured and shows it where the layout has room, so you can always tell how old a number is. Opening the app refreshes the data it caches for the widget. If a widget still looks stuck after that, removing it and adding it again re-creates its timeline.
How do I add a widget to my Home Screen or Lock Screen?
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap Edit → Add Widget, then search for GlanceVitals and pick a size. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, choose a widget slot, and select GlanceVitals. Saving a widget configuration inside the app does not place it on your screen — those are two separate steps, and the app never claims a widget is installed when it cannot know.
Does GlanceVitals send my Apple Health data anywhere?
No. GlanceVitals reads Apple Health read-only, and everything it reads stays on your device, where all of it is processed. It is never sent to a server or shared with a third party, and it is never written back to Apple Health. The privacy policy sets out exactly what does leave the device — analytics events about app usage, and purchase validation — and neither ever carries a health value.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account, no sign-in and no cloud sync. Your widget configurations live on your device.
What is free, and what needs GlanceVitals Pro?
The free tier includes steps, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, weight and water, with as many saved widget configurations as you like. GlanceVitals Pro unlocks the full metric catalog, multi-metric widget layouts and every widget family, including Lock Screen. Pro is available as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime unlock.
I bought Pro and it is not showing on this device
Open Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. A restore reinstates both the annual subscription and the lifetime unlock. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase and we will look into it.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select GlanceVitals. You can also reach the same screen from Settings → Manage Subscription inside the app. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase and has nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What does GlanceVitals require?
An iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or later, and read access to the Apple Health metrics you want to see. Access is your choice and can be revoked at any time in the Health app.
A note on health information
GlanceVitals is not a medical device. It shows the numbers Apple Health already holds; it does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, and it should not be used to make medical decisions. Talk to a qualified clinician about anything concerning your health.
